By choosing our place, you will be staying in an historic guesthouse set at the foot of Palazzo Conte Federico, within a few minutes walking from the market of Ballarò: a B&B full of charm that thanks to an attentive renovation has been brought back to its former glory.

Inside the B&B you will admire architectural elements from different eras that testify the long history of its walls: from the stone arches of the XXVIII century to the nineteenth-century iron columns.

The Giardino di Ballarò is a complex facility with an “L” shaped plan obtained from the union of several buildings that in the past were independent units. Here, ancient crafts were held: the baker and the farrier had there, in the core of the old Palermo, their activities and their shops.

The conservative restoration work has been able to enhance the charm and atmosphere of the past, while we added the modern comforts and quality services of a Boutique Hotel.

You will find our charming B&B in the heart of Palermo’s historical centre, nearby the Ballarò market. The attentive renovation, completed by the end of July 2011, gave new life to architectural elements that give to our place a special and unique atmosphere.

All of the rooms that welcome our guests, from the central lounges to the bedrooms, are embellished with numerous art pieces: unique décor elements personally commissioned by the property from local artists and artisans that can be purchased upon request. Il Giardino di Ballarò is also an Art B&B.

The courtyard inside the B&B Il Giardino di Ballarò hosts the garden with Mediterranean plants and lush trees, where you will enjoy the scent of citrus and jasmine carried by the warm wind. Our historic art & charm home also features a solarium, perfect to fully enjoy the warm Sicilian sun and languidly lying on sunbeds and armchairs. On the terrace you will find a small jewel of wellness: an outdoor hot tub, at your disposal if you want a touch of romance during your stay and indulge in moments of pure wellness and relaxation.

In the central lounge with the fireplace, you can admire the 18th century stone arches that frame the spacious environments and the 19th century columns restored to their ancient magnificence.

"Se vuoi vivere Palermo"
Per raggiungere la struttura passi dal mercato, dai ritrovi di una Palermo vera colorata, chiassosa, dei panni stesi e delle urla delle mamme ma apri un portone ed entri in una Palermo signorile e accogliente. La volta in tufo seicentesca introduce in un ambiente accogliente ricco di divani e mobili di antiquariato ricavati dal vecchio forno di cui sono visibili alcune tracce...

“Se vuoi capire Palermo, questo è il punto di partenza”
E' un hotel nuovo e di quel mimimal chic siciliano che fa star bene, con un piccolo ma bel giardino, delle camere molto confortevoli e una eccellente colazione. Ma il bello è che appena mettete piede fuori dall'hotel siete a Ballarò, cioè il quartiere più nero, confusionario, quasi allucinante e quindi divertentissimo della città...

“Una perla nel mercato”
A pochi metri dal mercato di Ballarò, in pieno centro, c'è questo bellissimo b&b. Siamo stati accolti con sorriso dal personale che gestisce questa magnifica struttura. Appena arrivati ci hanno regalato una mappa di Palermo e ci hanno dato degli ottimi consigli. Quartiere vivo come solo nella zona di mercati ( di tutto il mondo ) lo è. Le stanze sono arredate con gran gusto. ottima clientela...
